Bryan University recognizes prior military education, training, and postsecondary coursework that may be applicable to a student's current program of study. In accordance with Title 38, Code of Federal Regulations, ยงยง 21.4253(d)(3) and 21.4254(c)(4), Bryan University maintains and enforces a policy for the evaluation of prior education, transfer courses, credits, and previous experience for students utilizing VA Education Benefits.
Bryan University evaluates applicable prior education and training and awards credit when appropriate to the student's current program of study and in accordance with University academic policies and applicable accreditation or program requirements.
Students utilizing VA Education Benefits are responsible for providing information and documentation regarding prior education and training and for cooperating with the University's efforts to obtain records necessary for evaluation. Documentation may include official transcripts from previously attended institutions, Joint Services Transcripts (JST), Community College of the Air Force (CCAF) transcripts, ACE military education records, approved examinations, certifications, or other recognized prior learning documentation.
Students should provide requested official transcripts and applicable prior education documentation within eight (8) weeks of the start of their program to support timely evaluation. Documentation received after this timeframe will be evaluated in accordance with Bryan University's applicable transfer credit policies and requirements.
The submission of prior education documentation does not guarantee the award of transfer credit. Transfer credit is awarded only when prior coursework or training is determined to meet applicable University, program, accreditation, and academic requirements. The Office of the Registrar is responsible for evaluating and approving transfer credit.
When approved prior credit satisfies requirements in a student's current program, the student's remaining academic requirements will be adjusted accordingly. For students utilizing VA Education Benefits, applicable enrollment certifications will be reviewed and adjusted to reflect the coursework remaining in their program.
Students who have no prior education or training may be required to complete a Prior Education Acknowledgement Form.
All transfer credit is applied toward Satisfactory Academic Progress in accordance with University policy.
