Students are strongly encouraged to participate in all live class sessions, whether online or on ground. Although attendance at any scheduled live session is expected, students can elect not to attend if they feel that life situations, events, or other reasons make them unable to do so. If a student does not attend a live class session, he/she must submit a make-up assignment to earn the participation points. (Examples of make-up assignments can include a short summary/synopsis of the content covered in the live event, or a short quiz pertaining to material covered in the live event.)
