BUS-242: Marketing and Sales Fundamentals for Small Business

This course provides the foundation for service business owners or small teams in marketing and sales of business services. Topics to be covered include marketing strategies for small to medium-sized service businesses, social media marketing, relationship selling, and business soft skills such as communicating with clients, responding to negative feedback, and negotiating services. 

 

BUS-260: Payroll Accounting

Credits 3

In-depth study of payroll accounting. Covers calculations of gross to net pay, federal and state withholdings and deductions, recording of payroll transactions into the accounting records, and filing of federal and state payroll tax forms. Includes a consideration of factors which determine employee versus independent contractor status, and  business taxes such as sales and property taxes and their filing requirements.
